BURN INJURIES: A landlord brought his one and half year old son to the casualty department of Chandka Medical College Hospital on Monday, alleging that his elder son and relatives had inflicted burns on the leg and arm of the child.
Abdul Hameed Soomro told journalists that he had gone to Thatta on January 2 from where he tried to contact his second wife Fatima but in vain.
Suspecting something fishy, he returned and found her second wife locked in a room in their house and his son Rehman, an infant, was inflicted with burns on his leg and arm, he added.
Hameed said his sons from first wife were pressing him for share in property and they did inflicted burns on Rehman.
When contacted, medico legal officer Dr Mushtaque Noonari said that it was a minor case and certificate would be issued on Tuesday. At this juncture we could not say either the burns were due to pouring hot water, hot tea on the leg and arm or they were caused with fire, the MLO said. Story ends.
