BADIN, Jan 5: The relatives of deceased Amna Nohrio, who had committed suicide two days ago, said that she had filed a suit for dissolution of marriage against Noor Hassan Nohrio.

Speaking at a press conference, Amna’s brother Hanif Nohrio, and her brother-in-law Abdul Sattar Nohrio, nazim, Tarai union council, Fazil Rahu taluka, accused Noor Hassan and his supporters of pushing her to commit suicide and demanded registration of a criminal case against Noor Hassan, who allegedly claimed to have married the deceased lady.

They said that Amna was residing at her husband’s house with her father-in-law and her children after the death of her husband some six months back.

They said that Amna’s late husband Juman was working in the revenue department at Karachi and he had immovable property and the deceased was a beneficiary to his pension.

They alleged that Noor Hassan Nohrio in a bid to usurp property of the minor children, prepared a forged Nikahnama and on the basis of that he filed a suit in a court at Malir, Karachi for restitution of congenial rights.

They said, after receiving a court’s summon, Amna felt hopeless and under these circumstances, they said, she filed a suit for dissolution of marriage against Noor Hassan in the court of civil and family judge-II Badin and the date for hearing was fixed on Jan 12.
