Nazimabad FC win to go top in PLF

KARACHI, Jan 1: Nazimabad FC thrashed Baloch Mujahid 7-1 to become the event’s highest-scoring team in the 100th match of the ongoing KASB Premier League Football at the CDGK Stadium on Wednesday.

Right-winger Naveed Gul opened the score for Nazimabad in the 15th minute. Striker Hameed Afridi added two more in the 19th and 26th minutes. Meanwhile, striker Mohammad Hanif scored Baloch Mujahid’s consolation goal in the 34th minute. It was 3-1 at halftime.

The second session saw Nazimabad adding more insult to injury through their left-winger Jaffar Ali (55th and 78th minute), striker Faiz Mohammad (69th minute) and midfielder Ali Mohammad (86th minute).

In another match, Sharafi Mohammadan edged past Mauripur Baloch 1-0. The decider was scored through a penalty kick by the winning team’s midfielder Abdul Raheem in the 74th minute.

Meanwhile, Hazara Mohammadan outclassed Gulshan FC 5-0. Hazara Mohammadan’s striker Kashif Baloch scored the event’s seventh hat-trick when he contributed four (50th, 67th, 74th and 78th minutes) of those five goals. Striker Tariq Mahmood got one in the 30th minute.

In the day’s last encounter, defending champions Shahzad Mohammadan held Hyderi Baloch to a 1-1 draw. Striker Farhan Baloch (second minute) scored for Shahzad and left-winger Shahroze Khan for Hyderi Baloch in the sixth minute.
