2 bomb disposal squad’s men killed

BANNU, Jan 1: Two members of a bomb disposal squad were killed and 10 people were injured when an explosive device they were trying to defuse went off near a bridge on the Tochi river on Thursday.

Police said the personnel had gone to the bridge after receiving information about the device.

The deceased were identified as ASI Abbas Ali Khan and sepoy Nazir Khan.

The injured were taken to the district headquarters hospital.
