Ibrahim Joyo suffers heart attack

HYDERABAD, Jan 1: Noted intellectual Mohammad Ibrahim Joyo has been admitted to intensive care unit of cardiology ward of the Civil Hospital after surviving a heart attack.

His cardiac-related test would be done on Friday by doctors before taking any decision to go for angiography or bypass surgery, according to the family member.

Ibrahim Joyo had attended a programme organised by Sindh Democratic Forum (SDF) at River Indus to bid farewell to 2008 by offering prayers for the welfare of people of Sindh and its prosperity.

His family said that after he returned from Jamshoro he felt minor pain which increased by Thursday morning and he had to be hospitalised.

He is a cardiac patient since 1971 but it was for the first time that he had suffered heart attack which was confirmed by doctors.
