QUETTA, Jan 1: Baloch Republican Party’s chief Nawabzada Bramdagh Bugti has called upon the nationalist groups to abandon parliamentary politics and form a united front to struggle for Balochistan’s rights.

Addressing a press conference on phone from an unspecified place on Thursday, he rejected PPP government’s policy of reconciliation for resolving the Balochistan issue.

He said the Baloch did not trust the state elements who had deceived them in the past.

He said that the Khan of Kalat, Ahmed Yar Khan, Prince Agha Karim and Nawab Nauroz Khan Zarakzai had held negotiations but achieved nothing because the rulers did not recognise the national rights of the Baloch people.

He said that Balochistan was passing through a critical phase in its history and it was the responsibility of all nationalist forces to realise the gravity of situation and wage a unilateral struggle.

He said that dialogue and parliamentary politics had failed to achieve the national rights of the Baloch and armed struggle was the only option left for them.
