HYDERABAD, Jan 1: The sunset of 2,008 brought jubilation among 368 medical graduates and postgraduates when they received appointment orders for BPS-17 and BPS-18 posts in different hospitals.

The appointment orders are a new year gift from the Sindh government to 117 doctors who received appointment orders for specialists’ posts in BPS-18 and 251 lady doctors who received appointment orders of posting as women medical officers in BPS-17.

They are now preparing to join their duties in the hospitals of different districts of Sindh.

It is the first time that the provincial government has made large-scale appointments in the health department to overcome shortage of specialists and doctors in the hospitals and provide job opportunities to jobless medical graduates and post-graduates.—APP
