TOBA TEK SINGH, Dec 31: Two minor girls were killed and five other family members fainted after eating ‘gachak’ made from outdated ‘gur’ here on Wednesday.
Reports said that two brothers Rana Saleem and Rana Nadeem residing in Islampura had prepared gachak from the old gur they had stored in their house. In their absence, the rest of the family members took the gachak as a result of which Saba Saleem, 5, and Wajeha Imran, 2, died within an hour. While Wakeelan Bibi, Asifa, Arifa, 20, Shahid Nadeem, 7, and Eisha Saleem, 3, were shifted to Allied Hospital, Faisalabad, where their condition was said to be serious.
