LANDI KOTAL, Dec 29: Four oil tankers carrying fuel to Afghanistan were set ablaze near the Afghan border on Monday evening.

According to an official of the Khyber political administration, a rocket fired by suspected militants hit an oil tanker parked near the Torkham checkpost. Three other tankers also caught fire and were completely destroyed.

Lorries and tankers carrying supplies for International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan are often attacked while passing through the Khyber Pass. Over 300 vehicles and containers were destroyed early this month in militant attacks on terminals in Peshawar.—Correspondent
