ISLAMABAD, Dec 28: A man was killed while two other persons were found dead in mysterious circumstance here on Sunday, police said.

Qadeer Basheer, 25, a motor mechanic by profession, was shot dead by two persons near Thanda Pani area in Nilore.

The police said the accused took their car to Basheer’s workshop for repair, but a scuffle broke out between them over some petty issue.During the brawl, one of the clients pulled out a pistol and opened fire on Basheer, who suffered a fatal bullet wound and died in the hospital.

Shahzad Ahmad, 27, who hailed from Chiniot, was found dead in his room at a guest house in Sector F-7/4.

Mr Ahmad on Saturday night checked in at the guest house with a woman, who he introduced as his wife. The two also ordered a meal and tea.

However, the woman left the guest house in a taxi at around 7:30am, telling the manager of the guest house to wake her husband up at 10:00am and provide him breakfast as he was scheduled to depart for Australia at 12 noon.

The guest house staff broke into the room when all their calls went unanswered and found Mr Ahmad dead on the bed.

The police were informed who arrived at the scene and shifted the body to the hospital for legal process.

According to the police, the guest house staff said Mr Ahmad was not a first-time client, adding that he had earlier stayed there three or four times.

Likewise, a newly-wed woman was found dead in her parents’ house in France Colony.

The family members found the woman lying unconscious near the door of her room. On receiving information, the police arrived at the spot and shifted the body to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences.

A post-mortem on the woman suggested that she died due to a severe head injury caused by a blunt weapon or metal object. Her skull was fractured, while there were signs of resistance on her arms and legs.

The police said the deceased had married a man hailing from Sheikhupura after he separated from his first wife. However, the woman used to live in her parents’ house that was frequently visited by her husband.

The police said the family members of the woman accused her in-laws of the killing.
