ISLAMABAD, Dec 28: City police have registered separate cases against unidentified persons for sending threatening SMS to the station house officer (SHO) of Shalimar police station and security officer of a UNHCR official.

An unidentified person sent a message, an SMS, to SHO Ghulam Baqar threatening him of dire consequences on his mobile number, the police said on Sunday.

The SHO lodged a complaint with the police, saying the accused threatened him to stay away from him and his accomplices and not to take any action against them.

According to the police, the accused threatened the SHO to teach him a lesson and kill in revenge as he intervened in his business. However, he did not mention any particular case registered and action taken against them by the SHO.

The police were trying to trace the culprit through the SIM number and his particulars.
