GILGIT, Dec 21: Karakuram Highway (KKH), which links the Northern Areas with the rest of the country, remained blocked to all kinds of traffic for the third consecutive day, Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) sources said.
Transport companies have suspended their services between Gilgit and Islamabad, while a number of vehicles, including trucks carrying goods, were stranded.
The blockade at Kohistan district has been removed while some portions of the road in Diamer district are yet to be cleared.—APP
