TIMERGARA, Dec 21: Unidentified gunmen on Sunday shot dead a man and his son in the jurisdiction of Munda police station here, police and locals said.

They said, Khan Bahadar, along with his son Rahman Zeb and son-in-law Hidayatullah, residents of Kandaro Balambat, was going to Peshawar airport in a car, when unidentified persons opened indiscriminate fire on the vehicle, at Walai Kandao.

Khan Bahadar and Rahman Zeb were killed on the spot while Hidayatullah sustained bullet injuries and was taken to the DHQ hospital Timergara. His condition is stated to be critical.

The driver of the car remained unhurt in the incident, the residents said. Motive behind the crime was not known, however, the Munda police registered a case against unknown accused and started a hunt for their arrest.

Relatives of the deceased have demanded of the concerned authorities to arrest the culprits with immediate effect.
