KARACHI,Dec 18: Six ships carrying containers, steel and to load molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Hyundai BBaron, Oel Transworld, Wan Hai 509 to unload and load containers, Lalazar and Southern Bull, oil tankers, berthed after the departure of eight.

The departing ships were led by APL Zircon, Harmony, Sari, YM Miland, Hyundai Qingdao, Hanin Qingdao, Myong San, and Adriatic Arrow, while Hyundai Baron, Oel Transworld, Anton, H&H Tide, Faisal, Wan Hai-509, Southern Bull and Lalazar are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.117m tons, comprising 22,517 tons of export cargo and 94,621 tons of tons import tonnage, including 4,705 tons of fertiliser and 2,634 tons of wheat, was handled on Thursday.

The following ships are due on Friday: Lucky-7 to load molasses, Euez Express, with steel cargo, Amiya Scan, with project cargo, Eric G Gibson, Sima Sahba and Bunga Bidara, with containers.
