HYDERABAD, Dec 16: Manager, Hyderabad operation circle, Hesco, Muzaffar Ali Abbasi, has expressed dissatisfaction over recovery of power bills during November and directed the officials and staff concerned to ensure 150 per cent recovery for December.

He issued these directives at a meeting of Hesco officials and line superintendents at his office here on Tuesday. Deputy manager, commercial, Mehmood Ali Kaimkhani; deputy director, technical, Aftab Ahmed Bhutto; and XENs, SDOs and line superintendents of Gari Khata, Latifabad, Tando Allahyar, Mirpurkhas and Digri attended the meeting.

Mr Abbasi said that recovery of bills during November was not up to the mark and therefore recovery for December should not be less than 150 per cent.

No organisation could run without resources, he said and added that the only source of income of Hesco was recovery of electricity bills. He called upon consumers to perform their national duty by paying bills on time.

He constituted several committees members of which will go from door to door to ensure that the bills are being regularly paid.

In case of default, power supply to the consumers would be disconnected and recovery Mukhtiarkars would recover the bills from defaulters under the Land Revenue Act 1967, which included confiscation of property, he said.
