LANDI KOTAL: One killed in Jamrud

LANDI KOTAL, Dec 14: One person was killed and three other sustained injuries when rival groups exchanged fire in Jamrud bazaar on Sunday.

The incident took place in front of Elementary College Jamrud when the vehicle of a tribal elder Haji Shamsher Khan was ambushed by unidentified gunmen.

Haji Shamsher and his companions also retaliated. Both the groups traded fire and as a result a grandson of Haji Shamsher was killed on spot while his driver Hawaldar Khan and guard Samiullah sustained injuries. Haji Shamsher also received a shot in his arm.

Officials said that they took into their custody a vehicle which the attackers left at the venue. Jamrud political administration registered a case against unidentified assailants and started investigation.—Correspondent
