KARACHI, Dec 8: Four automobiles, 22 motorcycles and 11 mobile phones were taken away in different parts of the city on the eve of Eidul Azha.
Officials at the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee said that a car was snatched at gunpoint in the Sharea Faisal police limits.
They said car-lifters took away three cars in the police limits of Rizvia Society, Nazimabad and Sharea Faisal.
The officials said bandits snatched at gunpoint four motorcycles in the police jurisdictions of Surjani Town, Gulshan-i-Maymar, Azizabad and Mominabad. They said 18 other motorbikes were stolen across the city.
The officials said bandits snatched six mobile phones at gunpoint in the limits of Site, Saeedabad, North Nazimabad, Chakiwara and Cantt. They said the bandits also deprived the victims of cash and personal belongings.
They said 11 other cellular phones were stolen across the city.
The officials said the 40 vehicles – 13 cars and 27 motorbikes – and 23 cellular phones were taken away on Sunday in different parts of the city.
Of them, they said, seven mobile phone sets, four cars and three motorcycles were snatched at gunpoint.
