Durdana wins golf contest

KARACHI, Dec 6: Durdana Soomro, the lady Captain of the Karachi Golf Club (KGC), won the honours in silver category (handicaps 27 and under) of the Chip’n Putt competition held at the KGC on Saturday.

Some 19 ladies golfers participated in the Chip’n Putt event which was part of the two-day ladies golf tournament. It was held around the lush green 9th hole of the par-3 course.

Tahira Raza won the top prize in the bronze category (handicaps 28 and over).

Results:

Silver Category (handicaps 27 and under):

Winner: Durdana Soomro; runner up Rukayya Habib.

Bronze Category (handicaps 28 and over):

Winner: Tahira Raza; runner up Sumeera Durrani—Sports Correspondent
