Loadshedding sparks protest

MIRPURKHAS, Dec 6: Hundreds of people held a demonstration on Friday in protest against unannounced 16-hour loadshedding in the city and its adjoining areas.

The protesters forced into the premises of the Hesco division, burnt tyres and raised slogans against Hesco officers for failure to end power outage.

The SHO of Satellite Town police station Mohammad Amin Marri and SPO Mohammad Ayub Dars reached there to persuade them to end the protest but they did not budge.


HEROIN SEIZED: Officials of district prison claimed to have recovered 17 small plastic packets of heroin powder from two under trial prisoners during a search in the prison here on Saturday.
