DADU, Dec 6: Hundreds of employees and labourers working on the Right Bank Outfall Drain (RBOD) project have not received their salaries for the last six months due to provincial finance department’s failure to release funds and the labourers have decided to observe Eidul Azha as black day against this injustice.

FWO has finally informed the Project Director of RBOD-II about the suspension of work at sites and demanded funds.

The affected employees including watchmen, peons and clerks staged protest demonstration outside the office of superintending engineer RBOD in Jamshoro where there leaders said that 15,000 low grade employees were working with the irrigation department on RBOD project from Karampur village of Sehwan taluka to Gharo creek of Thatta district.
