Gardezi new press secretary to PM

ISLAMABAD, Dec 5: A senior bureaucrat of information group is the new press secretary to Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani.

The Establishment Division notified on Friday the appointment of Imran Gardezi, a BS-20 officer, who served as press minister in the Pakistani High Commission in London.

Mr Imran Gardezi is replacing Zahid Bashir who was sacked by the prime minister last week for arranging a meeting between a newspaper reporter and the Chief Justice of Pakistan.
