LAHORE, Dec 2: A PIA plane coming from Jeddah had to remain in the landing queue for ‘25 extra minutes’ as a C-130 aircraft kept the runway blocked for more than two hours after developing some fault here on Tuesday.

Officials told Dawn that the Pakistan Air Force plane, with some 18 people including the crew on board, developed a technical fault moments before take off at 1:45pm and remained stuck up there for more than two hours.

The plane could not be removed from the runway till 4:15pm when a PIA aircraft flight from Islamabad brought a crane here to tow it.

Two Haj flights were also delayed for several hours owing to the glitch.
