PESHAWAR, Nov 29: The city police claimed on Saturday to have arrested three alleged auto thieves and recovered a car from their possession.

A police spokesman said a complainant Daray Khan, resident of Surizai Payan, had got a case registered at Daudzai police station that a group of armed people had snatched his alto car (No LOR-2922) from him in Daudzai area.

The complainant later nominated three brothers Jehanzeb, Rafiullah and Taharat, residents of Wazir Qila, in the case, stating he paid Rs25,000 to get his car back from the accused.

The police conducted raids at residences of the accused and arrested the three brothers who also reportedly disclosed names of their other accomplice, who could not be apprehended during the raids.
