GUJRANWALA, Nov 28: The bail application of a bakery owner, who had provided the stale foodstuff to Community Girls Model College at its function a few weeks back, was rejected by a local court while the police arrested him here on Friday.

Reports said that accused Abdul Qayyum, the owner of Asim Bakery, had supplied the stale foodstuff to the college function where some 150 students and teachers fell unconscious after consuming it. Most of them had to admit to the local DHQ Hospital.

Principal Khalida Perveen had a case registered against the accused, but he got an interim bail.
