QUETTA, Nov 27: The Frontier Corps has rejected reports about any operation launched by it in Dera Bugti and Kohlu districts.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, an FC spokesman said that corps personnel were present in different areas of Balochistan to protect national installations.

“FC takes action on the directives of the government to foil any attempt to destroy national installations,” the spokesman said.

He rejected allegations levelled by some organisations against the FC and termed them baseless propaganda.

Meanwhile, the defunct Baloch Republican Army and some political parties, including BRP, BNF and BSO (Azad), have claimed that over a dozen people have been killed in different areas of Dera Bugti district in a military operation.

They alleged that security forces had arrested over 70 people during the operation.
