KARACHI, Nov 27: In two high-scoring KASB Premier League Football (PLF) matches played at the CDGK Stadium on Wednesday, Nazimabad FC thrashed Karachi United 5-1 and Baloch Mujahid easily walked all over opponents Gharib Nawaz Dalmia to claim the match 4-1.

Although they were on attack from the word go, Nazimabad FC somehow were prevented by Karachi United from scoring in the first half, the revenge for which was taken by the winners in the second session. Nazimabad FC opened the floodgates when their skipper and left-winger Atif Fatah converted a penalty kick in the first few seconds of the second half. Right-winger Jafar Ali added one more in the 51st minute, followed by striker Hameed Afridi’s goal in the 55th minute. The 65th minute saw Jafar scoring another with Hameed doing the same in the 89th minute.

Meanwhile, Striker Danial Alvi scored Karachi United’s consolation goal in the 66th minute.

In the other match, striker Nabi Bakhsh gave Baloch Mujahid their first goal in the fourth minute. Frontrunner Mohammad Nadeem succeeded in getting them ahead by 2-0 in the 13th.

Three goals were scored in the second session. Umar Bakhsh scored for Baloch Mujahid in the 65th minute and skipper and left winger Taj Mohammad in 80th minute. Gharib Nawaz’s lone goal was scored by their striker Zubair Ahmed in the 72nd minute.
