KCCA U-19 event begins from Sunday

KARACHI, Nov 27: KCCA Inter-zonal Under-19 cricket tournament will commence at the KCCA Stadium from Nov 30 (Sunday) with Zone-II Whites taking on Zone-I Greens in the opening match, the KCCA announced on Thursday.

According to Secretary KCCA Siraj-ul-Islam Bukhari, top zonal teams drawn in four groups with two teams from each zone and three teams from Zone-I and Lasbela are taking part in the tournament.

After the round-robin league contest, top two teams from each group will qualify for the quarter-finals.

Players born on and after Sept 1, 1990 are eligible to take part in the event.

All the participating teams are advised to report Mehtab Ahmed or Tauseef Siddiqui for the inaugural ceremony and facial scrutiny on Sunday at 11.00am in proper cricket kit.

Groups:

Group ‘A’: Zone-IV Whites, II Blues, I Blues, III Blues.

Group ‘B’: Zone- VI Whites, VII Whites, V Blues, Lasbela.

Group ‘C’: Zone V Whites, I Whites, IV Blues, VII Blues.

Group ‘D’: Zone-II Whites, III Whites, VI Blues, I Greens.—APP
