KARACHI, Nov 26: The Balochistan National Party (Mengal group) has rejected the government’s claim that military operation in Balochistan had been halted, saying that the operation had rather been intensified, especially in Bugti and Marri areas.

BNP general-secretary Jehanzeb Baloch, along with other office-bearers, told a press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Wednesday that the rulers were pursuing the aggressive policies of former president Pervez Musharraf to implement the US agenda in the region.

He pointed out that the armed forces involved in the operation were still deployed at Kohlu, Dera Bugti, Kalat, Turbat and certain other parts of the province.
