Forestry official shot dead

MANDI BAHAUDDIN, Nov 25: Unidentified men shot dead forest department official Tasawar Iqbal at his house on Tuesday morning.

The killers knocked door of Iqbal’s house, opened fire at him as soon as he opened the door and fled. Iqbal died at the scene.

City police have registered a case against five men and started investigation.

STRIKE: The staff of the DCO Office and revenue offices of Mandi Bahauddin, Phalia and Malakwal observed a pen-down strike in protest against the ‘misbehaviour’ of MPAs Tariq Mehmood Sahi and Asif Bashir Bhagal with DCO Waheed Akhtar Ansari.

The staffers gathered in the DCO office compound and locked all offices.

They held a meeting, condemned the ‘misconduct’ of both legislators and sought action against them.
