Karachi Port operation

KARACHI, Nov 25: Seven ships, Ratna Urvi, Al-Marwah, Sterlin, Madre, carrying oil, chemicals, palm oil, general cargo and DD Master, to load cement, and container vessels, Mol Ability and Kanivu, berthed at the Karachi Port during the last 24 hours.

Seven more vessels, Southern Unicorn, Hyundai Qingdao, Hyundai Duke, City of Xiamen, Wieniawske, Vulturnus, are expected to arrive at the port on Wednesday carrying lube oil, containers, project and general cargo while Flag Investors is due to load cement.

Moreover, three ships, Conti Harmony, Oxl Nomad, Kanivu sailed out to sea on Tuesday.

The port handled 122,023 tons of total cargo, comprising 24,601 tones of export cargo, and 97,422 tons of import cargo.

The export cargo included 10,032 tons of general cargo and 14569 tons of cement while import cargo comprised 17,127 tons of general cargo, 32,100 tons of coal and 7,195 tons of wheat. It included 56,422 tons of dry and 41,000 tons of liquid cargo.
