KARACHI, May 11: On the directive of Provincial Secretary Culture, Ashiq Hussain Memon, the ailing well known singer of Sindh, Fouzia Soomro, has been presented a cheque of Rs25,000/- as assistance for her treatment.

Fouzia Soomro had participated in the musical concert at Bhit Shah during the annual Urs of great Sufi saint Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai, celebrated from April 28 to 30, though she was quite ill during her performance.—APP/PPI
