LAHORE, Nov 24: Children have shown keen interest in the ‘save energy’ posters displayed in various schools of Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Okara and Nankana Sahib districts by Lesco in its campaign to discourage wasteful use of electricity.

Lesco spokesman Javaid Ahmad in a statement on Monday said the campaign initiated on the directive of the prime minister to Pepco, with multicolor posters and catchy slogans, aimed to educate people to switch off unnecessary lights.

“After the successful drive, our focus is now on children who have proved more responsive than adults, thus six types of colourful posters have been displayed in more than 70 schools in Lahore only in a single go,” he said.—APP
