Erstwhile FCCI rulers strike again

FAISALABAD, Nov 21: The erstwhile ruling alliance won all Corporate Class seats in the annual election of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) on Friday. Only one member from the rival group was in the run for this category.

Thirteen aspirants were vying for 12 Corporate Class seats. The National and Founders groups are in alliance and all winning candidates belong to these groups. Successful candidates are Maqsood Elahi, Zahid Aslam, Hamid Javed, Shabbir Ahmed, Salamat Ali, Abdul Razzaq, Zafar Iqbal, Umer Saeed, Amjad Khwaja, Shabbir Hussain, Talib Hussain and Mohammad Boota. The sole candidate from the opposition was Haleem Akhtar.

The election for 12 Associate Class seats will be held on Saturday (today). Fourteen candidates are in the run for these seats.—Staff Correspondent
