Port Qasim

KARACHI, Nov 21: Three ships scheduled to load and offload containers and project cargo berthed at the Qasim International Container Terminal and Multipurpose Terminal, respectively, during the last 24 hours while another ship carrying project cargo arrived at the outer anchorage of the Port Qasim on Friday morning.

Eight ships, including CV OOCL Kobe, CV QIA Fuja’a, MY Musan, MV Gan Bake San, MY Marion Green, MV Darya Radhe, MT Ginga Cougar and MV YM Cultivation, occupied berths at the PQA to load and offload containers, cement, project cargo, wheat, chemicals and coal, respectively.

Cargo handling was smooth with total cargo volume of 58,722 tons, comprising 45,966 tons of imports and 12,806 tons of exports, inclusive of containerized cargo 2,257 containers (TEUs) was handled during the last 24 hours.—APP
