PMA election on Dec 31

LAHORE, Nov 20: The Pakistan Medical Association’s Lahore chapter election for 2009-10 will be held on Dec 31.

PMA Lahore general secretary Dr Azeemuddin Zahid informed the media on Thursday that the election would be held against the slots of president, vice-presidents (male and female), general secretary, finance secretary and joint secretaries (male and female).

Separately, PMA formed a three-member committee headed by Prof Yasmin Rashid to investigate a report submitted by Allama Iqbal Medical College Prof Javed Akram to the health department on the death of a patient because of alleged negligence of four Services Hospital doctors. —Staff Reporter
