NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Nov 20: The Children Rights Committee, Sparc and Sindh Art and Educational Network held separate rallies to mark the World Children Day here on Thursday.

A large number of children who took part in the rallies were carrying placards inscribed with slogans “stop sale of children”, “ensure ban on child labour” and other slogans.

Ghulam Hussain Soomro and Mazhar who led the rallies said that two million children were deprived of their right to education in Sindh and demanded the government open closed schools and provide basic facilities to the historical madressah and Naushahro Feroze high school.

HUNGER STRIKE: The small flour mill owners of the district observed a token hunger strike outside the press club on Thursday in protest against food department officials.
