PRCL profit

KARACHI, Nov 18: The Pakistan Reinsurance Company Ltd earned underwriting profit of Rs159 million during the first nine months of 2008 compared to Rs85 million during the same period last year marking 87 per cent growth, says a press release.

The PRCL’s net premium revenue has been reported at Rs1,439 million compared to Rs1,229 million same period last year showing an increase of 17 per cent.

The company also earned better return on T-bills, government securities, fixed income securities and bank deposits, which amounted to Rs181 million during the current period compared to Rs142 million last year.
