Karachi Port operations

KARACHI, Nov 18: Six ships carrying containers and high-speed diesel are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to Karachi Port Trust (KPT) sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Kpta Segar, India Express, Mol Admiration, to unload and load containers, Unkon Anna to offload and load general cargo and Han Sprinter, to unload project cargo, were allotted berths.

Five vessels, including M M M Kingston, Jakarta Express, Tan Binh-26, Hyundai Qingdao, and Pusion-1 departed on Tuesday, while Han Sprinter, Ainaftis, OBS Swathy, Island Star, Ince Inebolu, Deja Bhum, Diler-4, Caribbean Carrier, Sima Sahba, Hadrian and Serpentin are due to sail out on Wednesday.

A total tonnage of 0.110m tons, comprising 68, 072 tons of export cargo, including rice and cement, and 41, 728 tons of import tonnage, was handled on Tuesday.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Splendour, with diesel, Oel Transworld, TS Xingang, Hyundai Emperor, and Harmony, with containers, and Galaxy Ace, to unload car.
