LAHORE, Nov 17: With leaders NWFP already having qualified for the RBS Pentangular Cup final, the two final-round matches that start on Tuesday, will decide the second finalists of the country’s toughest first-class tournament.
The toppers NWFP will face Punjab at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore while Federal Areas will clash with Balochistan at the Diamond Club Ground, Islamabad.
After the first three rounds, the NWFP, having remained unbeaten in their three matches, are on top with 27 points, followed by Balochistan
(9), Federal Areas (6),
Sindh (6) and Punjab (3). Sindh, who have played all their four games, are al-ready out of the race for the final.
Any of the three teams — Federal Areas, Punjab and Balochistan — can reach the final.
For the Lahore game, Salim Badar and Nadeem Ghauri will be the umpires,
Khalid Niazi the match referee while Masood Ahmed will be the official scorer.
In the Islamabad match, Iftikhar Malik and Zameer Hiader will be supervising as umpires, Abdus Sami Khan will act as the match referee and Adnan Farooq as the official scorer.—APP
