KARACHI: US action condemned

Published October 26, 2001

KARACHI, Oct 25: The Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf, on Thursday, said the United States had violated the Geneva Convention with impunity by bombing schools, hospitals, mosques, social welfare centres and killing hundreds of innocent civilians in Afghanistan.

Secretary-general of the PTI, Mairaj Muhammad Khan, in a statement, appealed to the UN secretary-general Kofi Annan to prevent massacre of the Afghan people, and make sure that the US stops bombing so that relief goods could reach Afghanistan.

He said that the US did not have the courage to risk its troops for land operation in Afghanistan.
