KARACHI, Nov 15: A dozen vessels carrying containers, rock phosphate and to load clinker and naphtha are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage during the next two days, according to KPT sources.

The berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where seven ships, Sea Al Batros to unload cars, Nordwoge, Calvin P. Titus and Y.M. Improvement to load and unload containers, Hyderabad, Song Shan to unload and load general cargo, were berthed after the departure of five.

The departing ships were led by Hansa Stavenger, Sima Pride, Calvin P. Titus, Morning Seagul and Nordwoge, while Y.M. Improvement, Sea Al-Batros, Green Valley, Banglar Urmi, Ashraf, M.M.M. Kingston and Fusion-1 are due to sail out on Sunday.

A total tonnage of 65,838 tons comprising 27,652 tons of export cargo including 9,000 and 6,634 tons of cement and clinker and 38,186 tons of import cargo which also included 1,947 tons of soyabean meal and 3,265 tons of fertilizer was handled.

The following ships are due on Sunday and Monday: Splandour with furnace oil, Rising Om to load 3,000 tons of naphtha, Nordana with 14,400 tons of rock phosphate, Darya Raag to load 25,000 tons of clinker, X-Press Khyber, MOL Admiration, Sima Sahba, Hansa Liberty, Montania and Kota Segar with containers.
