KARACHI, Nov 14: Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has said that some unscrupulous elements are conspiring to pit the workers of his party against those of Sunni Tehrik in a bid to wreck the peace and calm of the city.

In a statement issued from London on Friday, Mr Hussain said that some elements wanted to derail the peace process under way in the city and for this purpose they were hatching conspiracies.

He directed the members of the MQM’s coordination committee to meet leaders of Sunni Tehrik and chalk out a joint strategy in order to foil “the nefarious designs of conspirators and anti-peace elements”.
