TIMERGARA: CD shop blown up in Dir

TIMERGARA, Nov 12: A CD shop was blown up in Chakdara by unidentified outlaws in the jurisdiction of Ouch Police Station on Wednesday, police and residents told Dawn.

Sources said that unidentified people had planted an improvised explosive device outside Shabana CD Centre, which went off early in the morning. No casualty was reported in the incident. No group or organisation has so far accepted responsibility for the blast.

Ouch police have registered a case against unidentified accused and started investigations.

JOURNALIST’S KILLING FLAYED: On the appeal of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), the Lower Dir district journalists on Wednesday organised a demonstration to protest against the killing of a Swat-based journalist, Qari Shoaib.

Members of Timergara Press Club and Dir Union of Journalists assembled at the press club here and took out a procession.
