KARACHI, Nov 9: The outgoing US Consul-General Ms K. Anske has dispelled the impression that her country was supporting or patronising any particular party or group in Pakistan.

She was talking to journalists during her visit to the Idara Noor-i-Haq, the Jamaat-i-Islami’s head office in the city, on Sunday.

She said her meeting with the JI leadership was aimed at attaining more understanding of the party’s viewpoint on different issues.

Asadullah Bhutto, Muzaffar Ahmad Hashmi, Rashid Nasim, Mumtaz Sehto, Abdul Ghaffar Omar, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, Sarfaraz Ahmad and other JI leaders were present at the meeting.
