ISLAMABAD, Nov 8: Five persons suffered burn injuries when fire broke out in their flat due to gas leakage here on Saturday.

According to police, 15 persons, majority of them working at a restaurant of Lok Virsa, went to sleep last night in the flat at I-8/4 adjacent to Faizabad but the stove remained opened and nobody noticed it. As a result, the rooms were filled by the gas.

The gas caught fire when one of them ignited match stick in the morning and the five persons were trapped in it. They were rescued by their colleagues, who also extinguished the fire.

Later the injured, including Sohail, Pervez, Ijaz, were shifted to the Holy Family Hospital.
