LAHORE, Nov 7: Dr Asad Ashraf, the chairman of the Punjab Chief Minister’s Task Force on Spurious Drugs, has said the government will take a stern action against unqualified drug manufacturers tarnishing the image of the pharmaceutical industry for petty gains.
Addressing businessmen and industrialists at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry here on Friday, he said the pharmaceutical industry was not only catering to domestic requirements, but was also earning foreign exchange. The provincial government was evolving a strategy to stop unqualified persons from harming the interests of pharmaceutical interests. The government had also evolved a plan to provide healthcare facilities to maximum number of people. — Reporter
