DUBAI, Nov 5: Former Pakistan skipper Imran Khan has said the three-match series against the West Indies in Abu Dhabi would give Pakistan some boost before the all-important series against India.

“It is indeed a very important series for Pakistan. With not much cricket happening in Pakistan, this series will help them to prepare,” the 1992 World Cup winning Pakistan captain said at a function here.

Due to recent bomb blasts that rocked the country, Pakistan have not played any Test in 2008.

“When no teams are ready to travel to Pakistan, the PCB should have made efforts to

organise tournaments abroad. The entire structure needs to be revamped and that is possible only if good governing comes into place,” said the former captain.

Imran felt the series against India is “a very important one and hoped India do not cancel the series. I hope Indians turn up for the event. It is really an important series for Pakistan as that will fetch them revenue.”
