LANDI KOTAL, Nov 4: The border between Pakistan and Afghanistan remained closed at Torkhum for nearly an hour after a suicide jacket was found on the Afghan side of the border on Tuesday, officials said.
Officials of the political administration posted at the border said that some unidentified saboteurs left the suicide jacket at a checkpoint on the Afghan side.
As the Afghan officials spotted the jacket they suspended the traffic from both sides, Pakistani officials said.
The border was opened and traffic restored when Afghan officials detonated the explosive laden jacket.
