Students seek reopening of schools

MINGORA, Nov 2: A large number of students from Koza Bandai area of Swat held a demonstration on Sunday demanding reopening of schools in the militancy-hit Kabal tehsil.

Parents of school children and members of civil society gathered at the Dheri ground and urged the NWFP government to take urgent measures to reopen schools which were closed because of clashes in the area. Meanwhile, four policemen were kidnapped when they were going to Koza Bandai. According to police, constables Ehtishamul Haq, Khairul Hadi, Sultan Ali and Gul Islam were kidnapped by local militants.—APP
