ISLAMABAD, Oct 31: The city police have directed all the public call offices’ operators to keep particulars of people, who make calls there.

The owners have also been asked to keep vigilance on the suspicious people and those who make the hoax calls and immediately informed police about them.

The police have decided to book hoax callers under the Anti-Terrorism Act.

A statement issued by the police said the action had been taken to monitor and curb the practice of hoax calls made from the PCOs to spread fear in the city.

It is worth mentioning here that on Thursday a hoax call was made at the Federal Government Services Hospital. In this regard a case has been registered against unidentified callers on the complaint of hospital’s telephone operator at the Aabpara police station on charges of 7-Anti-Terrorism Act and 25-D Telegraph Act.
